Area in Focus: Ginza
Revitalizing stagnant hotel developments
In the Ginza area, a group of Marugen buildings in 6-chome to 8-chome, which had long been underutilized, were sold one after another, drawing attention to how they will be used in the future. As can be seen from the transaction of Abercrombie & Fitch Ginza Store, for an estimated price of over 40 billion yen [$260 million] along Chuo-dori Street, prices are rising. Due to the expansion of inbound tourism, hotel developments which had been stagnant until now have also started to be seen.
