San Diego woman killed after all-terrain vehicle crash in Bibb County

A 31-year-old California woman died in a single-vehicle crash Dec. 29 in Bibb County, according to Alabama troopers.

Zelina R. Rosales of San Diego, California, was fatally injured when the 2016 Can-Am Commander all-terrain vehicle she was driving left the roadway and struck a ditch. Troopers say Rosales was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Luis Alberto Saucedo Barahona, 25, of Riverhead, New York, who was a passenger in the ATV, was injured and taken to Bibb Medical Center in Centreville.

The crash occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Lawley Junction Road, about 10 miles north of the Chilton County line, in Bibb County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
