Rough weather leads to flight delays at Jackson airport

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Flying during the holidays, dealing with luggage and making it to your gate on time can be a challenge, especially when there is incoming bad weather.

Delays and cancellations are impacting flyers in Jackson due to severe weather west of Mississippi. On Wednesday, American Airlines canceled one flight from Dallas to Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN). It also canceled another from JAN to Dallas.

Chris Carter and his son Stone were booked on the latter flight.

Kayah Riley said her flight was supposed to leave at 5:00 a.m. Thursday. Maintenance issues delayed that flight. Now, she is having trouble getting on another plane.
