Parts of Fulton County to experience power outages

FULTON COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — Parts of Fulton County are expected to experience planned power outages on Tuesday, Dec. 10, according to the Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency.

Workers at the Spoon River Electric Cooperative Smithfield and Ellisville substations will cause the outage at about 6:45 a.m. for maintenance work.

Power outages reported in Central Illinois

The outage is expected to last five to ten minutes when the substations switch to the secondary feed, and a second outage is expected later in the day when they switch back to the main feed.

The outage is expected to affect residents who live in Abingdon, Avon, St. Augustine, London Mills, Ellisville, Fiatt, Fairview, Bernadotte, Marietta, Seville, Smithfield, Checkrow, Midway, North of Table Grove, North & West of Lewistown, and North & West of Cuba.
