What would be your top priority if elected?

Rebuild our economy by bringing outsourced manufacturing and technology jobs home. Reforming our tax and regulatory systems to make America the best place to start a new business and expand an existing one. Returning to the trade and tariff system that built America and made it strong. Fixing our education system so we can create a world class workforce. Stopping illegal immigration to ensure that American workers are not locked out of the economy in their own country.

How would you describe the state of the economy and what would you do to improve it?

The state of the economy is not good. We have many issues. Some are new, while others have been festering for decades. We must improve America’s business climate. We have to fix our education system. And we need to stop discarding American workers.

What should Congress do to ensure that it meets its deadline to fund the government?

We need to get rid of enormous omnibus bills that are drafted by the leadership and presented to members at the last minute without the opportunity for review and debate. Congress must return to regular order where each committee drafts budgets for their area on a set timetable.

Will you certify the results of the presidential election?

If every state certifies that the election was conducted without major issues.

Is there an issue on which you disagree with your party? What is your position on that issue?

The GOP is fractured, and it is quickly evolving. I stand against the old guard of giant corporations, the military industrial complex, and the neocon warmongers, which have controlled the party for most of the post-WWII era.
