Gabriel Le Magadure

A longtime member of the Quatuor Ébène, French violinist Gabriel Le Magadure emerged with a solo career in the 2020s. He is also an important educator. With the Quatuor Ébène, Le Magadure appeared in many countries and essayed unusual repertories such as Brazilian jazz. After making numerous recordings with that group, he stepped into a soloist role on the album Chausson, Lekeu in 2024, featuring Chausson's Concert in D major for piano, violin, and string quartet, Op. 21, and the Violin Sonata in G major of Guillaume Lekeu. Le Magadure has been in demand for master classes in various countries, and in 2021, he joined the faculty at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany, as pianist-in-residence.
