Bas is the stage name of Paris-born, New York-raised Abbas Hamad, a rapper known for his association with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records. ∙ He’s reached the top 40 of the Billboard 200 with two solo albums, 2016’s Too High to Riot and 2018’s Milky Way. ∙ Over the course of his career, Bas has released musical collaborations featuring Ski Mask the Slump God, Ab-Soul, Smokepurpp, and Ari Lennox. ∙ In 2019, he received Grammy nominations for his contributions to Dreamville Records’ Revenge of the Dreamers III label compilation and the single “Down Bad.”
