Since forming in Trinidad and Tobago in 2005, Kes have continually expanded the parameters of soca music, all while staying true to the traditions and rhythms they know and love so well. With their eclectic and electric blend of island sounds, soul, R&B and rock, early hits like “Wotless” and “Tuesday On the Rocks” made them one of the most popular bands in the Caribbean. Frontman Kees Dieffenthaller’s indefatigable energy and smooth finesse have been two more reasons for their longevity, a fact he eagerly demonstrates on 2017’s sultry “Hello” and 2019’s exuberant “Savannah Grass”.
