Every new release from Karan Aujla is met with excited anticipation. So when word dropped that the hip-hop and pop superstar was joining forces with rising producer Ikky for an EP, expectations were high. But the duo live up to the hype on Four You, a quartet of cuts that deviate from the standard trap-inspired template. Opener “52 Bars” is an incendiary banger with Aujla at his aggressive best. The mood mellows on both “Take It Easy”, a caution for a suspicious partner, and “Fallin Apart”—which comes from the perspective of a lovelorn woman—before the triumphant closer “Yeah Naah”.
