When he fought Thanos in the Battle of Wakanda, he accidentally grazed the Time Stone in Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet, causing a paradox that merged the 17th and 21st Centuries together, rewriting everyone's lives. Losing his memories, he became became the well-known outlaw Rogers Hood and founded a band of thieves and merrymen with Winter Soldier and Ant-Man. Eventually, Rogers was approached by Captain Carter to help steal the Scepter from King Thor so she could locate the Forerunner who started this crisis and undo it. Trivia[]

  • Rogers Hood is based on Robin Hood, a heroic outlaw from English folklore who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
  • In the comics, Steve Rogers was sent back in time to 1602 by Zebediah Killgrave and arrived in Native America, where he was taken in by the Roanoke colony under the name Rojhaz.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Steve Rogers' story was changed from the original Marvel 1602 comics to avoid having a white man becoming indigenous American. They instead opted to have him be similar to Robin Hood at the suggestion of A.C. Bradley and Ryan Little.[3] Neil Gaiman, who wrote the original comic, was not consulted in this or any other change in the episode from his story.[4]
