"Our man on the inside located Brogan."
Gravik to G'iah[src]

The Rescue of Brogan was a mission led by Gravik to save Brogan from Sonya Falsworth and the FSB.

Background[]

"Several bombs exploded today at an annual celebration in Moscow, killing at least two thousand civilians. One suspect is currently in custody, identified as a leading member of the online fringe group, Americans Against Russia."

While preparing for their mission to orchestrate the war between the United States and Russia, the Skrull Resistance planned to carry out a terrorist attack in Moscow and pin the blame on Americans Against Russia. They kidnapped Martin Wallace and brought him to the New Skrullos, where Brogan assumed his identity, while the real Wallace was put in a Fracking Pod. G'iah secretly informed Talos about their plans and marked the backpacks that she and the Resistance couriers brought to the Vossoyedineniye Square. Talos, Nick Fury and Maria Hill tailed them in order to intercept the bombs and foil their plans, however, the backpacks ended up being decoys and the real bombs were already planted at the square.

Gravik personally confronted Fury and detonated the bombs, causing a massive explosion that killed multiple civilans, while also killing Hill in a subsequent chaos.[2] The authorites arrived at the scene and apprehended Brogan who was disguised as Wallace and repeatedly claimed that he was an American. The bombing caused a massive resonance across the globe with overwhelming condemnation from the world governments and due to the supposed American involvement, Russia recognized the attack as a war declaration from the United States. Brogan was taken under custody of the FSB and kept at their black site in Moscow, which the Skrull Resistance managed to find out and Gravik ordered to get him out.[1]

Sonya Falsworth interrogates Brogan

"Sounds like your lift is here."

Tied up at the black site, Brogan was interrogated by the FSB operatives who demanded to know about his associates, but Brogan remained silent. Suddenly, Sonya Falsworth arrived and took over the interrogation, instructing the FSB to walk out and let her handle Brogan on her own. Brogan refused to cooperate, but Falsworth then cut off his finger and watched it transform, confirming that he was a Skrull pretending to be a human. Despite Brogan insisting that he will not talk, Falsworth injected him with a special Interrogation Serum that started to raise his body temperature to a boiling degree. Soon after, Brogan was in agony and begged Falsworth to make it stop, claiming that he did not know the New Skrullos, but Falsworth was not satisfied and asked him what secret he does now.

Pagon fights the FSB operatives

Eventually, Brogan told her that Gravik is working on a machine that could make Skrulls stronger and that he had the Dalton couple working on it. At that time, Gravik, Pagon, G'iah and Beto arrived at the black site to rescue Brogan and killed one of the FSB operatives with a headshot, before entering the location. Pagon used a flashbang to disoriented the others before he and Gravik moved in and opened fire. The FSB operatives engaged in a firefight but Gravik and Pagon were able to kill all of them, while Falsworth retreated through a hidden hatch in the floor. Meanwhile, G'iah left Beto in the car and secretly called the Police of Russia, tipping them about the location of their safehouse.

With all FSB operatives dead, Gravik and Pagon got Brogan out of captivity and he repeatedly claimed that despite all the tortures, he told nothing but lies. The Skrull Resistance took Brogan to their car and drove away to their safehouse, but saw it being overrun by the police, so using it was out of the question. Gravik questioned how did the police find out about their safehouse and ordered to hide in the nearby woods for the time being. Gravik assumed that Brogan lied to him and slipped up about them to the FSB, so he commanded Pagon to take Brogan out and executed him for betraying their cause.[1]

Aftermath[]

"Well, someone told the cops where we were headed, and only we knew that. It was me, you, Pagon and Beto in the car. It's hard for Brogan to confess to something he didn't know."
Gravik to G'iah[src]

However, Gravik soon started to question how Brogan could have told the authorities about their safehouse in Moscow, as he was not supposed to know about it in the first place. He took notice of G'iah's recent suspicious behavior and suspected her, as she and Beto were in the car during the rescue mission. He kept it to himself for the time being and talked to G'iah about it, to which she said that Brogan could have make an educated guess under the torture. Gravik remained suspicious and in order to weed out the traitor in their ranks, he announced a mission to take over HMS Neptune and use it to shoot down UN-1, so the United Kingdom would be accused of attacking the United Nations delegation.

While Gravik was on a meeting with Talos, G'iah informed him about the attack on UN-1, so he and Nick Fury were able to foil their plans with G'iah's help. While she attempted to flee from the New Skrullos, she was intercepted by Gravik who ignored G'iah's lies and told her that the mission's true goal was to find their traitor. He then shot G'iah and walk edaway, having assumed that she was dead.[3] Howver, G'iah had used the Super-Skrull Machine to enhance herself before leaving, so the Extremis in her body saved her life.[4]
