Nomble is a member of the Dora Milaje.
Biography[]
Dora Milaje[]
Battle of Mount Bashenga[]
As a member of the Dora Milaje, Nomble witnessed the return of Black Panther after Erik Killmonger took his throne and attempted to send Vibranium weapons all over the world. On Okoye's orders, Nomble and the Dora Milaje sided with Black Panther, helping him fight the Border Tribe that had turned against him. Although the Dora Milaje were temporarily defeated, they later received the support of the Jabari Tribe, which enabled them to turn the tides of the battle and claim victory.[1]
Infinity War[]
Nomble later took part in the Battle of Wakanda along with the other Dora Milaje and the Avengers, fighting the hordes of Outriders led by the Black Order.[2]
Skirmish in Helmut Zemo's Residence[]
With Helmut Zemo broken out of prison by White Wolf, Ayo brought Nomble and Yama with her to Riga, Latvia. Nomble walked into Helmut Zemo's Latvian Residence and threw her spear at Captain America, barely missing him. Walker tried to reason with them, but touched Ayo, causing a fight.
Nomble was given her spear back by Ayo as she and Yama held back Battlestar. Sam Wilson then grabbed her spear, so she fought him. She then saw Walker trying to make a move, so she threw her shield at him. Her aim was so perfect that she got it to to go through the straps. When everyone calmed down, they found that Zemo was gone.[3]
Arrest of Baron Zemo[]
In Sokovia, Dora Milaje captured Baron Zemo after his amends with Bucky Barnes at the Sokovian Memorial. While Ayo was talking with Barnes, Nomble and Yama took Zemo to the Royal Talon Fighter and later to the Raft where he would live for the rest of his life.[4]
Death of a King[]
In 2024, King T'Challa fell ill. Although they tried to heal him, it was too late as T'Challa died. Nomble attended his funeral.[5]
Namor's Attacks[]
A New General[]
When Namor infiltrated the River Border, Ramonda called a meeting. The elders all met up and even the Jabari Tribe arrived. When M'Baku walked in, he traded insults with Okoye until Ramonda told them to stop. Nomble and the Dora Milaje stomped their spears in unison. When Okoye returned from a mission, she said that Shuri had been captured. Sad and worried, Ramonda yelled at Okoye, eventually firing Okoye from her position as general. Ayo took over shortly afterwards.[5]
Attack on the Golden City[]
Shuri was soon saved, but this caused the Talokanil to come after Wakanda. Suddenly, a tidal wave swept through Wakanda, caused by Namor. The Talokanil's hypnotic chant caused many Wakandans to willingly jump off of the boat. Nomble put on her ear plugs and grabbed a man just before jumping overboard. Yama then threw explosives into the water. In the end, Namor killed Queen Ramonda.[5]
Ambush on the Talokanil[]
In her grief, Shuri was able to recreate the Heart-Shaped Herb and became the new Black Panther, uniting the country in a time of need. Shuri staged an ambush on the Talokanil. They went to the Sea Leopard and lured the Talokanil there. The Dora Milaje then fought the Talokanil, using ropes to fight on the walls. They fought for a long time, wondering when it was going to end. Suddenly, Black Panther and Namor arrived from a fight of their own and announced a truce.[5]
A New King[]
The Dora Milaje attended the Incoronation of Shuri. They did their ritual until Shuri was called upon. However, much to their surprise, Shuri did not arrive, instead M'Baku came out to take the throne.[5]

Behind the Scenes[]
- Janeshia Adams-Ginyard nearly turned down the role of Nomble due to her hesitance to shave her head.[7] She specifically cited her pastor as a significant influence in the decision to accept the role anyway,[8] having dismissed her friend giving similar advice.[9] When she was first auditioning for the role, Adams-Ginyard did not know her character's name.[10] She accepted the role with the shaved head after several attempts to convince Marvel Studios to let her have a shorter hairstyle.[9]
- Janeshia Adams-Ginyard was not given a script for Nomble's role in Avengers: Infinity War. She was only given context about who she was fighting in specific scenes.[10]
- Janeshia Adams-Ginyard and several other actors in Black Panther created their own fight choreography for the Battle of Mount Bashenga.[9]
- Janeshia Adams-Ginyard did not learn about Nomble's appearance in Avengers: Infinity War until during filming for Black Panther, when she received an email while scenes at the Jagalchi Market Casino were being filmed.[9]
