"Iso-8 has a lot of potential as a power source."
"Or a weapon!"
"Which is why we need to protect it at all costs. We can debate the finer points later."

Iso-8 is a powerful element.

History[]

Iron Man used Iso-8 in his conflict with A.I.M.,[1] as did Thor in his battles against the Dark Elves and Marauders.[2]

S.H.I.E.L.D. doctor Bernhold Renner studied Iso-8 to discover its capabilities in human cloning. S.H.I.E.L.D. held Iso-8 in a number of facilities that they used to create powerful weapons. R.A.I.D., the Serpent Society and U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. attacked Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. and stole several nuclear warheads, and Captain America and his allies set out to defeat them and recover the warheads.[3]

Trivia[]

  • Iso-8 was developed as an in-game resource for Marvel: Avengers Alliance and has appeared in many games since. It was introduced in the comics in Mighty Avengers Vol 2. According to then Marvel vice president of business development Sean Haran, its inclusion in multiple mobile games was an "attempt to connect — even if it’s a loose thread — the games that we’re creating day-to-day."[4]
