"A week ago, a village in Mexico was wiped out by a cyclone. Witnesses say that cyclone had a face."
Talos to Peter Parker[src]

Cyclone[1] was an illusion created and controlled by Quentin Beck, representing the Elemental of air.

History[]

Creation[]

"They were born in stable orbits. Within the black holes, creatures formed from the primary elements. Air, Water, Fire, Earth. The science division had a technical name. We just called them Elementals."
Mysterio to Spider-Man[src]

Using the Illusion Projectors and the Stark Industries Combat Drones, designed by William Ginter Riva, Quentin Beck created a realistic illusion of the creature made of air. Gutes Guterman also came up with a story about the Elementals, claiming that they were from a parallel universe, and came to Earth through a tear created because of the Snap.[2]

Fighting Mysterio[]

"Three days later, a similar event in Morocco. A village was destroyed by what may very well be another world threatening event."
Talos to Peter Parker[src]

In Summer 2024, Beck sent Cyclone to Ixtenco, Mexico, where it caused havoc by destroying the village. Witnesses reported the attack, which caught the attention of Talos and Soren, disguised as Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

Three days later, Beck allegedly sent Cyclone to Morocco where it caused even more havoc before Beck staged a fight with Cyclone and "defeated" it.[2]

Capabilities[]

Cyclone was created as an illusion resembling a creature made of air. With the holographic system, designed by Quentin Beck, Cyclone's appearance was utterly realistic, and with Stark Industries Combat Drones, it was able to cause real damage.

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Cyclone is André Gerard, a French engineer who due to a disagreement with his superiors created a suit capable of creating high-velocity winds and became a criminal. He mostly fought Spider-Man as well as Moon Knight. He was later replaced with Gregory Stevens and then Pierre Fresson
  • The Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Cyclone replaces Zephyr as a member of the Elementals.
