ON its 3rd Annual ENRICH: Empowering Next-Generation RIA Champions, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) concluded its training activities by recognizing government employees who have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate regulations and improve their regulatory environments.
The Better Regulations Office-Regulatory Management and Training Division reported that ARTA gathered 343 government employees from 63 government offices and local government units.
This included trainees from ARTA’s e-learning system, Policy Reform, Innovation, and Streamlining Management (PRISM).
These participants, referred to as RIA Champions, successfully completed Phase VI Capability Development Assistance on RIA, which was conducted in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines.
Phase IV RIA Manual Training was conducted in collaboration with the Public Administration Research and Extension Services Foundation Inc. under the Regulatory Reform Support Program for National Development.
Additionally, RIA Training for Local Government Units was held in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development and Urban Connect, along with an Introductory Course on RIA facilitated by the Regulatory Management and Training Division (RMTD).
ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez emphasized the urgent need to streamline government processes and enhance the ease of doing business.
“President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has made it a priority to improve bureaucratic efficiency and promote economic growth. By investing in capacity-building initiatives such as these RIA trainings, we are taking significant steps towards realizing the President’s vision for a more prosperous and competitive Philippines,” he stated.
The event also introduced a new RIA training manual titled “Standard Cost Model Training Workbook” and expanded PRISM’s course offerings with the addition of an Annual Regulatory Plan course.
