Le bidule dans le champ

(No longer a) 3rd year student in animation at Gobelins, France (but this description has been wrong for two years so it'd be a shame to change it after so long).

Apparently, I hadn’t posted these here yet, for some reason ?

(I’m currently back in my cave working on Les Songes du Roi Griffu.)

Heyy,

Someone asked me if my webcomic, Molly-l'Iris, was still alive or if it had been abandonned ; it has been my little pet project for years, so don’t worry, I’m not dropping it anytime soon (I get why the HUGE hiatuses make it look that way, though ^^’) : it’s just been hard to fit it in between work-related obligations, the past year (there are EVEN some work-related obligations that I haven’t been able to fit in between work-related obligations… 😬).

Still, I’m currently working on the english version of the last chapter I drew, sooooo… Keep an eye out for this, I guess ?

In the meantime, here are the covers of the last two chapters (that online readers don’t see since it’s only used in the printed versions).

Hey hey, I made a bunch of bookmarks for the last convention I attended (I’ll never escape the tarot, apparently…)

These guys are from my comic, you can read it here (it has magic and stuff, come and seeeee…)

(I like drawing Mr Mustache, he’s a nice dude)

mai-col:

Hey ! Here’s the 1st part of a 40-ish-page comic I’m making for Paris City Pop, a rather recent convention that’s happening in Paris may 28-29th (it’s going to be full of very talented illustrators !).

It’s related to Molly-l’Iris, my ooooold project about three fuck-up mages adopting an apprentice.

(For non-french speakers, this is nitpicking (on my part) about variations on our sland word for which I have no better equivalent than “asshole” - I’d have gone for “dickhead”, spontaneously, but we have a direct equivalent for this one, “tête de noeud”. But nobody says this anymore either, I think.)

Something I’m working on on top of Les Songes du Roi Griffu T2 (because a single comic isn’t enough ???)

A lot of fun was had on some silly comic panels.

Ser Rando McSadman gazing longingly into a rather pitiful campfire.
(Also, I’m on Twitter too now, I might update it more often in the coming months than I do this tumblr.)

How an arrow could remain stuck in there is a mystery.

There was that landscape tag going around on Twitter, so here are a few cropped panels. I’m NOT a background artist by far, but I had fun.

It seems I haven’t posted that gruff bearded guy here. I kinda like this comic panel.
