"The Nomad" was a moniker given to a female Mystic from Rhûn in the Second Age.

Biography[]

She traveled from Rhûn westwards into Rhovanion with two companions, similarly mysterious Mystics known as "The Dweller" and "The Ascetic".

Searching for the whereabouts of The Stranger, who they believed to be the returned Sauron, they came to the crater formed by his fiery arrival some days prior and tracked him to the Greenwood. Telling him of the identity they believed he had forgotten, they were forced to incapacitate him after he resisted. Four Harfoots came, thinking to rescue the Stranger, but were quickly cornered by the mystics, Sadoc Burrows suffering a mortal wound from the Nomad's dagger. The Stranger returned from his sleep, however, and opposed the three women, causing them to realize he was one of the Istari, not Sauron. The Stranger then defeated the Mystics by using the Dweller's staff.[1]

It was later revealed the Mystics served the Dark Wizard.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The character of the Nomad was invented for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. She was portrayed by actress Edith Poor.
