- Eärendur, the tenth and last High King of Arnor, dies in Annúminas.[1][2]
- Strife amongst Eärendur's three sons leads to the division of Arnor into the three successor states of Arthedain, Cardolan, and Rhudaur.[1][2]
- Eärendur's eldest son Amlaith becomes the first King of Arthedain, whose capital is Fornost Erain.[1][2]
