Andrew Lesnie (January 1, 1956 - April 27, 2015) was an Australian cinematographer who worked on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy. He was a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
He gives commentary in numerous features of the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings films, such as From Book to Script and Cameras in Middle-earth.
In April of 2015, Lesnie died of a heart attack in Sydney, Australia. His last cinematic work had been The Water Diviner.
