On 3 September 2024, Dagnija Baltiņa took up the position of Director of the National Library of Latvia (NLL). Previously, Baltiņa was the Director of the Special Collections Department of the National Library of Latvia, a researcher, lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture, and former Secretary General of the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO.

The National Library of Latvia (NLL) is providing remote access to its digital resources and e-services – the Digital Library, the National Encyclopaedia, full-text databases and other services.

The National Library of Latvia permanent exhibition "Book in Latvia" is a story of the history of Latvian book in a global context, inspired by the new image of the library. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
