Mikeil Metcalf
Mikeil is a staff member in LiveWell who works in the Suicide Intervention Program (SIP) and does Alcohol and Other Drug Early Intervention work. Through these programs, she works with students to identify priorities and needs through a student-centered approach, assists in the identification and connection to campus resources and navigation of university processes. Through the SIP Mikeil outreaches to students who experience suicidal ideation and incomplete/interrupted suicides and will work with students to get them connected to support or re-affirm any supportive connections.
Mikeil received her B.S. in Psychology from Santa Clara University. She then went on to earn a M.S. in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Mikeil has worked in the fields of Substance Use and Mental Health. Other professional experiences include time as a Research Assistant in Psychology labs, Mental and Behavioral Health studies, as well as working in athletic performance and mental health skill development.
