Homemade s’mores pie is everything you love about your favorite campfire treat including toasted marshmallows!
S’mores in Pie Form!
We LOVE s’mores in my family. The combination of graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and melted chocolate is hard to beat!
If you love the combo too, then this s’mores pie is the perfect way to enjoy all the flavors of your favorite camping treat, but in delicious pie form. There’s a creamy chocolate filling like our Chocolate Cream Pie and a buttery Graham Cracker Crust.
The steps are simple, and it’s a great recipe for making ahead of time because after the s’mores pie is baked, it will need to cool and set for about 4 hours in the fridge. Takes a little time but SO worth it!
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- Plan ahead of time. This pie recipe is perfect for making ahead because it requires chill time!
- Classic flavor pairing. Enjoy all of the flavors of s’mores (chocolate, graham, and marshmallow) in a deliciously creamy pie!
- Enjoy all year! While it’s perfect for summer and campfires, this s’mores dessert would be a unique twist to add to your holiday tables!
Ingredients
PREP TIME: 30 minutes
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
CHILL TIME: 4 hours
- 1½ cups graham crumbs, about 10-12 sheets – store-bought or homemade, see Graham Cracker Crust
- ¼ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 5 ounces milk chocolate bar – or milk chocolate chips
- 5 ounces dark chocolate – We used Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Bars, but anything around 50% dark chocolate works.
- 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 large eggs – Room temperature eggs will incorporate better.
- ¾ cup mini marshmallows
How to Make S’mores Pie
- PREP. Preheat the oven to 325°F degrees and lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- CRUST. In a medium bowl, stir 1½ cups graham crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and ⅓ cup melted butter until evenly combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate (use the bottom of a measuring cup). Place in the fridge as you make the filling.
- FILLING. Chop 5 ounces of milk chocolate and 5 ounces of dark chocolate into very small pieces (if not using chocolate chips) and place in a large glass bowl.
- Heat 1¼ cup heavy cream until almost boiling (either in the microwave or in a saucepan) while gently stirring.
- Pour the hot cream over top of the chocolate and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Whisk the mixture til smooth.
- Whisk in 2 eggs.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the pie shell.
- BAKE. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the filling no longer jiggles.
- Remove from the oven. Cool the pie completely, then cover and place in the fridge for 4 hours (or overnight).
- SERVE. Turn the oven to broil and position an oven rack in the lower third of your oven.
- Sprinkle the top of the s’mores pie with marshmallows.
- Place the pie in the oven for a few minutes. Watch carefully, and remove the pie as soon as the marshmallows start to turn golden brown. They can burn quickly, so do not walk away from the oven. In place of the broiler, use a kitchen torch.
- Slice into pieces and serve.

Do you need to bake crust first?
Can you use a store bought graham cracker crust?
Nope, no need to bake first with this one. And I always make homemade because it’s easy and delicious! But you could definitely try using a store bought crust.
Thank you for sharing this recipe! I made it and it is delicious. Next time I plan to lower the amount of chocolate to about 6-8 oz. total and increase the marshmallows (personal preference). Your recipe is a keeper. Best to you!
