oh my god
]]>bittersweet. odd and enjoyable, it had me tearing my hair out at around the end; this movie makes me sick. beautiful cinematography as well
]]>wow. thrilling, dashing- whatever you want to call it. jodie fosters is SO pretty also what the freak
]]>bittersweet and beautiful. PHEONIX RIVERS the MAN you are, his portrayal of christopher chambers was genuinely so great
]]>bawled like a baby during act two and even during some parts in act one. it was slightly confusing at first (as any A24 movie can be expected to be), but as the movie progresses everything starts to fall in place perfectly. there was a reason why this was a oscar winner- it was genuinely such a beautiful movie with even greater actors. michelle yeoh, ke huy quan, stephanie hsu, jamie lee curtis- EVERYONE made a difference and the cast was just perfect, the story was perfect, this was genuinely a great movie through and through!!! did i mention i bawled like baby because i DID so beautiful a need to watch for sure
]]>slightly shed tears at the end, great cinematography, great story. unlike the OTHER, clearly pessimistic and stuck up reviewers, i felt like those 'unneeded' action scenes were actually really needed. they were all executed perfectly and really showed the brutality of war. the unfairness of everything was even more so shown with how you see the soldiers dirty and worn and aged by war from being on the frontlines and how it moved to the scene of how clean and pristine and just put TOGETHER the actual generals and higher ups were during the train scene and whatnot. anyways this was such a great movie, its really bittersweet and shows how disposable soldiers and everyday people are to war. poor paul, poor everyone
