The way they filmed this film was great , some great scenes and it was surprisingly quite on the scary side , although there were some sub par scenes which were quite expected , overall definitely a enjoyable experience pretty close to 4 stars .

]]>**How to Train Your Dragon 2: A Stunning Sequel Soars Above Expectations**
DreamWorks Animation's "How to Train Your Dragon 2" delivers an exhilarating follow-up to its beloved predecessor, enriching the vibrant world of Berk with deeper storytelling, breathtaking animation, and heartfelt character development.
Set five years after the original, the film continues the journey of Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and his loyal dragon, Toothless. Now young adults, they face new challenges as they explore uncharted territories and uncover a secret dragon utopia. The sequel brilliantly balances the growth of its characters with the expansion of its universe, providing a sense of maturity and complexity that resonates with both younger audiences and adults.
Director Dean DeBlois masterfully weaves themes of discovery, responsibility, and belonging into the narrative. Hiccup’s struggle with his identity and leadership contrasts poignantly with the antagonist Drago Bludvist (Djimon Hounsou), whose dark, fear-driven approach to dragons starkly opposes Hiccup’s harmony-driven vision. The introduction of Hiccup’s long-lost mother, Valka (Cate Blanchett), adds emotional depth and provides a powerful dynamic as Hiccup learns more about his heritage and the world of dragons.
Visually, "How to Train Your Dragon 2" is a triumph. The animation is nothing short of spectacular, with intricate details that bring the dragon-filled skies and lush landscapes to life. The flight sequences are particularly breathtaking, offering a sense of freedom and exhilaration that immerses viewers in the adventure. John Powell’s stirring musical score complements the visuals perfectly, enhancing the film’s emotional and epic moments.
The film also excels in its character development. Hiccup’s evolution from an uncertain boy to a confident leader is portrayed with nuance and sincerity. The bond between Hiccup and Toothless remains the emotional core of the story, and their interactions are both touching and humorous. Supporting characters, including the boisterous Viking clan and the various dragons, add richness and humor, creating a well-rounded and engaging ensemble.
In conclusion, "How to Train Your Dragon 2" is a rare sequel that not only matches but often surpasses the original. It’s a compelling mix of adventure, emotion, and stunning animation that will captivate audiences of all ages. With its powerful messages and spectacular execution, this film firmly establishes itself as a standout in modern animated cinema.
