An incredibly fun and stupid movie. It knows exactly what it is and just leans all the way in. Moment after moment, my jaw was left agape; I couldn't believe they kept going there.
The real highlight of the film, other than Cruise himself in full-on superhuman mode, was the aerial photography. It was truly some next-level shit. I mean, you have never seen stuff like that before. It manages to put you right in the cockpit.
Very rarely do movies ever live up to the hype, but this one manages to hit all of the right and expected notes while still managing to occasionally surprise. As I said, it's a dumb-fun movie and you should go see it on the biggest screen possible.
