I can confidently say this is the worst Saw film by a pretty large margin having seen the entire series up until this point.
The story is so incredibly awkward this time around with ridiculous plot holes and the traps themselves just feel overly convoluted almost like they’re trying too hard. It doesn’t have that gritty, raw underground style the earlier entries in the series had.
I also just don’t think Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson were the right actors to cast in a series like this. Mediocre at best with a stupidly predictable plot twist at the end.

I significantly appreciated this film way more than when I initially watched it, because it actually is such an incredibly beautiful and unique love story with unconventional storytelling techniques.
I honestly think I just found a bit too jarring, as I wasn’t that experienced with that much art house cinema back in early 2021. ETOTSM is obviously a classic for a reason, a poignant and surreal experience that’s so emotionally impactful, quirky and unforgettable with superb performances from Winslet and Carrey.

A lot of things make this movie perfect, It’s a journey of love, redemption, hope, grief and a moody delicate character study of a man coming to terms with himself and the people he turned his back on. I love the melancholic dreamlike atmosphere, the beautiful shots and lovely colour pallet along with its slow paced experiential nature which are all so gorgeous and visually pleasing to watch.
I don’t think I’ve ever been as emotionally connected by a film…

A stunning haunting, surreal and masterful end to the amazing career of stanley kubrick, this exceeded my expectations by so much, I have no idea why some people consider this to be one of his weaker films, because imo it’s tied for his best with barry lyndon and space odyssey but right now I’m definitely leaning more towards this.
Kubrick presents this dreamy world of sexual fantasy and desire focused around the core themes of power and identity surrounding that…
