    There are maybe 2 times I’ve been in a theatre where everyone let out a massive sigh of relief in unison and then realized we all did it and then we all started laughing. Both sold out shows.
    One was a scene in The Taste of Things.
    And the other was the docking scene in Interstellar.
    If that scene doesn’t pucker your asshole, I don’t know what does!

    The best Sci Fi films leave in awe. They challenge us. And they inspire us.
    Over time this might reveal itself to be Nolan’s greatest film.

    For many this is better than Star Trek.
    Hell, for many, this is the best Star Trek film.
    The new 4K disc release is out of this world good.
    Colours pop, aspect ratios change, and the sound is robust.
    It’s a who’s who of comedy character actors.
    It’s more than tongue in cheek.
    It’s a love letter to sci fi.
    Everything works here.
    Mainly cause the actors buy in. 
    Also, the CGI hold up. Not to mention wonderful practical effect.…

    Planet of the Apes, along with every single film in the franchise ( aside from Burtons ) have been thought provoking films that challenge you.
    They are sci fi with messages about ourselves and the world we live in at the time.

    This is the first film that has nothing to say. It breaks the code of what an apes film is.
    It plays on the screen like a video game…
