Holy fucking shit, what a freaky movie😭 and I loved it. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I went into this without seeing any trailers or clips, and I'm so happy I did.
Demi Moore is absolutely fantastic in this. She is up there with one of the best performances of the year, and probably one of my favourites too. I really hope she gets an Oscar nomination because she really deserves it.
Yes, this movie is a body horror film with very gruesome moments, but at its core, it is addressing the incredibly unrealistic beauty standards for women, particularly for
middle-aged women, and it does it so perfectly.
This movie is heartbreaking, hilarious, and totally horrifying. I don't always do too well with body horror, but I loved this. The final 30 minutes are utter carnage, especially the New Year's Eve show, which makes the prom scene in "Carrie" look tame.
I can easily see this becoming my favourite movie of the year.
