]]>this was weirdly entertaining for a movie that i would’ve never watched on my own. my friend literally dragged me to the cinema at nine pm to watch this shit.
]]>tag yourself, im the guy who told the old lady he’s satan
]]>as a professional hater, i literally cannot hate on this movie
]]>how was he not weirded tf out by that hug?
]]>insane anti-roach propaganda
]]>the chappell roan appearance was very much needed
]]>no one has ever looked hotter than aubrey plaza in this
]]>WHO. THE. FUCK. CAME UP WITH THAT ENDING????
i’d give this five stars if they had given billy less screen time and instead had actually elaborated on agathario’s relationship. if i kms it’s marvel’s fault.
love comes crumbling down when fantasy dies.
i was conflicted on what to rate this. i decided to be generous to compensate for all the fun-hating people on this app. i’ll start by addressing the elephant in the room… the fact that this was basically a musical. it’s an stylistic choice that i personally wouldn’t have made, but then again… it’s the goddam joker, he’s insane, it’s not out of character for him to make up musical numbers in his head. he is literally a clown. that being said, the message was beautifully delivered (i won’t elaborate on that because i try to keep my reviews spoiler-free) and joaquin phoenix’s performance was superb as usual.
]]>if aubrey plaza broke into my house i’d thank her and beg her to stay
]]>“what the fuck is the cloud??!!!”
i actually enjoyed this a lot
how did he pull so many baddies?
]]>kathryn hahn, that’s it, that’s the review

]]>I’ve set us both free
i’m exactly this movie’s target audience

]]>Ugliness is a kind of death... As long as I'm beautiful, I'm alive more than others.
Cleo from 5 to 7 navigates death, loneliness, love and beauty in an extremely tasteful manner. From the very start of the film we can see the way Florence navigates through her relationships and deals with the possibility of her own death. I might as well be dead already. The cinematography was outstanding and the scenery charming. This movie is one of the many that prove that female-led films are a million times better when they are directed by women. In addition, I couldn't possibly review this film without mentioning how powerful the scene where cleo sings sans toi was.
no matter how many times i rewatch this, it always hits me.
to this day, i still can’t put my finger on what it is that sets this movie apart from other similar films, but it just has that special something. it might be the fact that i first watched it at the ripe age of twelve or cate blanchett’s piercing blue eyes, either way, im glad this movie made it’s way into my life making me feel so many emotions and setting high standards for what pure selfless love should be. Carol (2015) will forever have a place in my heart.
]]>oh, the things i would do to be six and watch this for the first time again
]]>My dreams were taken from me. But now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor, but you are not mine.
]]>this was the kind of wholesome content i needed on a saturday night
]]>i also want to be one of julianne moore’s sexy children
]]>that last speech in court made me cry and i never cry to movies
]]>this is peak gay comedy
]]>one of the campiest movies ever.
the most unrealistic thing about this was that meryl streep in her absolute prime would ever fall for such an incompetent man and fight with another gorgeous woman over him.
also… i NEED to know if this is where david lynch got the idea for mulholland drive.
]]>i REALLY REALLY love this movie, but couldn’t they just kill the little shit?
]]>they were having a botched-off
]]>was this movie good? no. is catherine stark hot? absolutely yes.
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
this was ten times better than barbie
although some of the stylistic choices (like that one dancing scene) didn’t really agree with me, overall, this is a very solid picture.
first of all, the acting was great. i love the fact that they actually hired actors who look like they lived in that place and time (ignoring paola’s botox, which wasn’t that exaggerated). furthermore, the message was beautifully and perfectly sent. watching the movie, i wasn’t happy with the idea of delia running away with that man, so when it what revealed that that wasn’t what she was hiding, i was very pleasantly surprised. however, even though i know not all films have happy endings and that the resolution of this movie was true to reality and not too dreamy, i really wished she could’ve gotten a better ending. all in all, even with it’s flaws, this was a great film.
]]>the baptism scene is a masterpiece on it’s own
]]>why is everyone in this movie a mansplainer?
]]>I couldn’t tell you why, but this was scarier than any horror movie. This film captured nostalgia and concealed desolation in a way that gave me depression. It’s safe to say that I’ll never watch this again.
]]>tf was her drink spiked with? ayahuasca?
visually pleasing film with a great soundtrack and evil chappell roan as a main character. what more could i ask for?
]]>Charming like no other.
The world building, color palette and performances really helped bring this film to life, all while making the quirks and unusual behaviours of Amelie feel almost natural. She is an outsider, there is no doubt in that. But unlike in other movies, the things that set her apart from everyone around her feel genuine and innate to her. Not to mention the fact that the director made sure to give everyone their own peculiarities, making this delightful film feel more human and authentic. Amelie’s world is strange, but alive and breathing.
there’s nothing as liberating as giving in to madness
]]>samantha robinson might just be the most beautiful woman alive
]]>A MILLION FUCKING STARS WOW

]]>I don’t care what ANYONE says, i loved this, i loved this, i loved this. i loved the book and I believe this movie made it justice. (the fact that the soundtrack was good and i have a huge crush on blake lively might have helped my rating)
]]>the aesthetic in this was to die for (no pun intended)
]]>"now we can both live forever"
]]>CRISTAL IS SO HOT, but there was something off about this film that didn’t let me fully enjoy it and i think it might be how poorly written some of the characters were. although, im honestly not surprised considering the fact that this is a movie about women made almost entirely by men.

]]>as a tennis lover i honestly found this movie adorable
]]>this was way darker than i thought it would be and nic cage’s performance is insanely good. im honestly surprised this isn’t a filmbro classic.
]]>objectively, this movie is not that good, but i still really really loved it

]]>just a list of lesbian films whose sole purpose isn't giving the main character a coming out story or fill them with guilt over being attracted to women, and are instead just films with sapphic main characters and an actual plot. (im not saying these are any good, i'm just saying they fit this description).
