Sad way to end a thursday night. it was a really good movie tho. storytelling was different but in the best way, and the impeccable acting of andrew and florence ❤️❤️❤️. Ugh great movie pls watch

This was definitely a hard watch at some points, but nonetheless really great storytelling and i found myself feeling emotional for almost all the characters. 

With the drama surrounding the movie, i thought the initial theme of DV would be less present in the movie adaptation. I would like to shamely admit i’ve never read the original book. So i did go into this movie with a fresh set of eyes and no expectations. 

Although I haven’t read the book, I watched with a fellow friend that did, and we both admit we were legitimately confused at some points during the movie. But the director (Ryle) did a great job at portraying the “brainwashed” perspective of it’s okay it was an accident or they said it wouldn’t happen again. Which is a real and serious issue with DV victims and as a watcher, I too was also like “wait i felt like that was more of an accident” When Lily is finally out of the “brainwashed” perspective she realizes the entire scenario and breaks down. 

Like I said before, this is definitely not a light-hearted movie. It sheds light on serious topics and issues in today’s society and showcased them in highly realistic situations. 

I think the director did an amazing job in showcasing the affect of DV and how it messes up people’s perception of love and affection. Just how the story was meant to be told.

This was everything and more, so good, had me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. Really sad they killed my girl kiernan shipka off in the first 15 minutes.

This was funny, hilarious, and a great theme to it. Heard some mixed reviews before but thought it was very heartfelt and sweet movie to watch.

OH MY GOSH. Amazing movie, everything down to the cinematography was impeccable. A great experience and it had me on the edge of my seat. Definitely worth the delay and the hype surrounding this movie is real.

this was such a good film! I will admit my doubts on it at first, but it had the perfect mix of emotion and comedic relief. This is definitely a top tier movie now. I watched this as my second(ish) movie on my road trip from atlanta to kc and it was honest to god very humbling. joesph gordon levitt’s character played the delusional pining not bf so so well. It was amazing story telling as well, i really loved the flashback scenes from when it was good, and then flash forward to when things started falling apart. And i think Webb captured that phase of break up so well, my favorite quote was “Do you ever do this, you think back on all the times you've had with someone and you just replay it in your head over and over again and you look for those first signs of trouble?” OR the monologue at the park when Summer explains why she’s married now. Heartbreaking, and honestly crazy to say to like anyone.

Tom: Knew what?
Summer: What I was never sure of with you.

Anyways 10/10 movie.

This was honestly such a cute film and i don’t know why it gets so much hate. It’s an adorable tale of a woman losing and finding herself again. I started watching this movie on the second half of my plane ride from paris to atlanta and then just finished it in the car from atlanta to kc. I’d like to think it was a great movie after traveling so much. It has a great overarching theme that self happiness can be achieved with acceptance.

Watched this movie from my 9 hour flight from Paris to Atlanta. Have to say, i’ve been genuinely missing out. Great story telling and lives up to the hype of the film. Wish I saw it how it is meant to be watched, that would’ve definitely cultivated my viewing experience. Great film nonetheless.

Watched this in my ap psych class, super emotional and a great story.

Second film I decided to watch on the 7 hour flight and after past lives i wanted something to lighten the mood up a bit. This movie was hilarious and fun, nothing too serious which was just what i was looking for.

I had a 7 hour flight to amsterdam from chicago ohare and this was the first film i decided to watch. Really great storytelling and it was honestly so bittersweet, almost made me cry at the end with their monologue about where they would be in different lives. Scenery was also beautiful, such a great story.

It was a cute little mini film about the meaning of life and what exactly our purpose is. I’ve been meaning to watch it for awhile and i’m glad i finally got around to it. Summed up a whole life’s adolescence in 13 mins

It wasn’t bad but it was a slow start, and it didn’t quite hook me as wish as it did. Great cast and commemoration to the one Bob Marley. Although I can’t help but feel like it was missing something.

I’m so bias. it was honestly not that bad, but the original Mean Girls is my favorite movie in the entire world. it was definitely different. i don’t know rachel mcadams just had that charm that even renee rapp couldn’t compare to. very good looking cast. I absolutely loved Karen. she was the funniest and made the movie really fun. the reason for the low rating is honestly a user bias. 
UPDATE: i know that this wasn’t supposed to be compared to the mean girls original movie so i boosted the ratings a bit.

Not going to lie — this movie was so weird. It was an incredibly slow start with a long shocking ending. I honestly felt like for the majority of the movie this didn’t have a single plot line. towards the end it all started to piece together and make sense. it was a very well directed movie — some shots were absolutely stunning! it was nice that it was filmed at Oxford. I never quite saw until now how beautiful it was! I was left confused at some parts, although I was on the edge of my seat. Great ending to a film. Not a very traditional ending but it kind of worked

Not the worst movie i’ve ever seen. although, i wish it was shorter? i don’t know I felt the movie was a little too long and it was a little too much for me. but it really wasn’t bad. it had humor, drama, suspense, and thriller. it was pretty good. the cast was great with Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard! It was also an Apple Original so the apple product placements are kind of funny. very good plot with lots of plot twists and kind of had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t know if i’d recommend again — way too long. Although the cat (Alfie) is we pretty cute. Not the best movie, but not the worst. If you have time to kill, this will keep you busy for about 2 hours.
