    I think Art needs a hug or something. 

    Gratuitously gory is fun. Did it have to be egregiously 140 minutes (mid-credits scene and all)?!?

    Lowkey impressive what Damien Leone could put together with such a small budget. The man is good with the make up and effects. Acting did seem slightly better than the first movie but the bar was in hell. Acting bar is in purgatory now. Had to get through these first two to be able to watch Terrifier 3, which is surely a holiday season classic.

    I don’t mind bleak. I just feel misled. I wasn’t expecting this to be a cinematic cousin to Liam Neeson + Taken, but I was under the impression there was some real stuff at stake. 

    Pseudo-thriller that meanders and peters out. Never comes to a full boil. Just simmers and evaporates. Great acting and cinematography but that was about it for me. Borderline time-waster, in retrospect. 

    Off to read the reviews of people that liked it. I can sort of see it. May not have been in the right mood.

    Not nearly bittersweet enough. DEVASTATE ME. Where is the grieving? Make me believe these kids’ lives have been ruined and only their Scrooge uncle can save them!

    What an interesting return to a starring role for Ben Stiller after seven years. I expected this to be a lot funnier and to have some edge. It’s pretty subdued. Easy watching. Miralax for the eyes. Passes in and out of the brain with little resistance.

    Almost 34 years of living and finally watched Raging Bull. What’s customary? Do I owe Scorsese an apology letter for the delay or sum’n? I’m considering it. Might ask him in the postscript to go back to making “short” movies like this one again.
