A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge

    ★★

It's funny that I always thought Freddy Krueger was the gayest horror villain of all time, and then they made a movie about a gay man in the closet, with Freddy as an allegory that brings out this total repression. I wish the script was better developed, though. It's nothing less than awful

They also had the terrible idea of extinguishing the nightmarish qualities that made the original a powerhouse in this genre. The eerie atmosphere of dream-horror was sacrificed for this... so fucking disappointing

  • Inside Out 2

    Inside Out 2

    ★★★★

Inside Out 2 is a great achievement if we compare other Pixar's sequences. They're used to dragging the story and making more predictable and boring, like Cars and Incredibles franchise just to begin with, but there's a lot more

They have a very good premise and a huge exploration land with Inside Out, so they were able to reach the same level of creativity as the first one, adding to the fact some complex new emotions that make the story…

The most horrifying and, at the same time, erotic film I've ever seen. There're so many layers to dive into, but I'l restrict myself now to the last scene, which is the best ending in the history of cinema

Another fantastic film of Yorgos. The fisheye camera not just brings the feeling of a secret observant, but also the idea of the madness of a scientist looking through a microscope.

Emma and Sandra gave the best performances of the season for me, but I'm quite shocked at how good Mark Ruffalo is in this one. I'll never criticize him again
