It starts off strong, but once the style wears thin, the story begins to struggle with its own message, which at times feels undercooked and superficial.
Not that the message isn't there, but as an inoffensive kids/teens film, it evidently only skims the surface of what it exposes.
Turning Red is fun, humorous and has an excellent animation quality, as always the case with Pixar. It's of course their trademark and still works great, but I really think this will be one of the studio's most forgettable films by far.
