Needed something familiar after a long day, so here we are. Definitely a favorite from Kaurismäki's filmography--and frankly, between the naturalistic Old France stylization, brilliant performances from Wilms & Pellonpää (and Baudelaire!! 🐾), the Fuller/Malle/Léaud cameos, and the romantic-melancholic story more broadly, I'm afraid this is just an all-timer for me.
