I am not a fan of Awkwafina at all, really a terrible actor in my opinion, and Ayden Mayeri was just plain annoying, not funny in the slightest. John Cena once again actually manages to bring some saving grace to the film with his natural comedic tone and charisma, he deserves better than this. There was a few moments that brought me a grin, there's an amusing narrative behind it (that unfortunately is executed badly) and there's a nice touch to the Shang-Chi reconnection but this definitely is not a good, even decent, watch. The writing is poor, the film lacks direction and substance, the low budget is blatant and the action sequences are quite bland. Definitely met my expectations which isn't complimentary.
