I love Dev Patel !!
first it was Greta Gerwig, then Jordan Peele, and now Dev Patel actors who became directors and I can't wait for their next project. this movie is so fucking insane, this is a very simple revenge story that've been done a million times before, but I'm sure as hell that Dev Patel Loves this story and that character, it's clear how much love and careness went on making this film, it's obvious that Dev loved that simple story, so the outcome is so good, the final product made for the most insane and unique action-revenge films I've seen in a while.
the way Dev Patel directed this film and directed the action scenes made for some of the best and fresh action sequences in the last 5 or 10 years, the choreography, the stunts are all great, and the action scenes were shot in the craziest and most hard way possible, the camera angles are nuts, and the shots are just brutal and bloody, this is for sure one of the bloodiest action-revenge movies, probably ever, and all that are combined with the craziest music and tracks possible, my god the songs just scream adrenaline.
and inside all that blood and brutality there is a simple human story of vengeance, grief and love, yeah it was done before, but this is still a good movie, the emotions here were perfectly delivered through the cinematography and the incredible acting of everyone, especially Dev Patel, let's not forget that Dev Patel is one of the best actors working today, he's a very talented actor who delivered me every emotion of anger, love and grief, incredible performance.
at the end this is an incredible, unique and fresh revenge movie that shows the love of Dev Patel for this story and his love for filmmaking.
