There's some good stuff here, but at a certain point I realized that as obsessed as the movie was with the fantasy and power of white womanhood, it didn't have anything to say about it.

This might have hit differently if I'd watched it a decade ago. As a story about not fitting into the identities that claim you, the satire is so broad as to lose its bite. As a story about a break-up... well, it would have been nice to get a sense of why these two people liked each other in the first place.
But the threesome scene alone is worth the price of admission.
