An absolutely tremendous film with so much messaging and themes that make you truly think about the world we live in, and the performances are simply great with the great Kang Ho Song delivering once again like he normally does. Bong Joon Ho sure did a mighty fine job crafting this and this was a very deserved best picture winner at the Oscar’s. Was a pleasure seeing this again 😊

Come and See 1985
I said to myself that I would never see this again as I was so disturbed by this and don’t get me wrong it is a hard watch but it’s an absolute masterpiece. The realism and the true terror and horror of war is felt from minute one in this and it shows how evil mankind can be. The performance from Aleksei Kravchenko is one of the very best if not the best I’ve seen from a young actor ever it’s truly amazing acting. So yeah it was good seeing this again but I won’t be rushing anytime soon to seeing this again

City of God 2002
A fantastic film with so much energy bursting from the steams and not just that the performances here are raw and just all round great, and I love some of the cinematography in this to. Such a class film 🔥

The Thin Red Line 1998
To be fair when I first saw this I wasn’t taken by it but on a 2nd watch this was really good and I’ve got to say visually this film is superb to as every Malick film is. The combat scenes are also great as well and that scene where Zimmers score is blasting throughout it gave me goosebumps. So yeah I’m really pleased I took to it a lot more this time 😊

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 2003
High octane, frenetic energy and dripping in Tarantino flair ! Man this film is so so entertaining and Urma Thurman is so badass and I have to say to on a rewatch the dialogue in this is superb and I just love the scenes of confrontation they are just so well done. By the way that Samurai scene is fucking awesome to 😮💨🔥

A Part of You 2024
As for coming of age dramas go this was okay, but I did find some of it as the saying goes “ same old same old “ and the reason I say that is the film doesn’t do anything to different it kinda plays everything safe. But performance wise it was alright and their are some good moments, but overall it didn’t do enough for me

Oh, Canada 2024
Truthfully at first I didn’t mind it but as it went on and on I was genuinely feeling so bored and I couldn’t help but feel I wanted it to be over quick, but Jacob Elordi was decent and Gere was okay to. But overall this was a bore

Maria 2024
It pains me to give this a low rating but unfortunately I couldn’t connect with this and even though I think Pablo Larrain is a very good director i feel this is his joint worst film in this unofficial trilogy of his. But the massive positive for me was Angelina Jolie who gives her best performance in a very long time and I think she’s coming for an Oscar nomination for this, but I don’t think she’s gonna win it.…

Children of Men 2006
In my opinion this is my favourite Cuaron film even though I do love Prisoner Of Askaban, but this film is genuinely such a gem and i love the performances here especially from Clive Owen. Even though it can be a hard watch it’s a brilliant film and that explosion in the beginning always catches me off guard 😅

1917 2019
When I first watched this was a long time ago and I didn’t initially click with it even though I thought the film was pretty good, but on a rewatch I can safely say I think this film is great. The visceral and emotional punch this carries really does hit you on a rewatch to and the realism of it feels so authentic, and that’s a lot of it being down to Sam mendes brilliant directing. George McKay is also…

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Last time I saw this was last year and I don’t get why I’ve left it till this late to watch it again and I’ve got to say this film is a masterpiece and a definitive gem in the superhero genre. The animation is spectacular and the voice acting is simply fantastic, also at the heart of this is a beautifully well told story about a kid who just wants to do the right thing in life, but realises that…
