It's certainly better than the first one, but it's not a high bar, so it had limited mileage for me in the first place. I can't fault the action scenes, this film had stellar photography and made great use of the golden hour. It's mostly the melodrama that held me back, it just felt too clunky to get invested in, even when forgetting the deliberate dose of cheese. Maybe it'll grow on me on a rewatch, it doesn't help that it's getting overhyped.
