Different plot lines, all begging you to suspend your disbelief, come together in a small rural village in England. Ricci gets hit by a car and is housed by the lady driver, so conveniently Ricci can also take care of the children. They live in a house which used to be a home where children were abused by some prominent city members, and the driver's wife is investigating a recent discovery of an ancient church, in the ground, where odd statues are watching the Crucifiction.
And these all melt together.
It seems ridiculous, and actually it is, but still the entire proceedings remain watchable in one way or another. I cannot explain how or why, because really nothing stands out, with basic direction, set pieces or photography, and even more basic acting (Ricci is truly on automatic pilot, stating her lines thinking about what she will have for dinner that evening), but anyway I could easily finish it, so that's that.
