Three very charismatic leads cannot prevent this umptieth installment of the series from ending up in the lower mediocrity regions. Especially in the beginning the two guys have this great chemistry, and carry a postive vibe. It's just funny watching them hang out, perform Jackass stunts, like coming down the stairs in a laundry basket, but unfortunately, when one of the neighbours dies, and the paranormality almost begins, the biggest fun ceases to exist.
I know the creators had no intentions to reinvent the wheel, but why always the same stuff like supernatural powers, basements filled with plastic sheets, nocturnal church visits,..., we've been there and done that so many times before. Even the final, and I can be wrong here for it's been a while since I saw it, it's like a complete rehash from the previous one, isn't it?
Some of the scares are OK, and the red/green lighted plate is a fine touch, but if it wasn't for the main actors/characters, there's wasn't much here that 'marked' the spot.
