Synopsis
"The Heavenly Play" - Mats Ersson is engaged to Marit and they plan to get married in the spring. But when the plague comes, the people accuse Marit of witchcraft. She is sentenced to death. Interesting story, not the best of narratives to showcase it, but still moments of doom & gloom, along with the more dreamy stuff they dwell into. A curious piece.

Not particularly my thing, but still truly a forgotten gem, with great production value and a "christmas carol" type of story which I'm sure would resonate with many people if it were to be more broadly exhibitted. Also feel like Seventh Seal might've drawn some influence from Sjoberg.
