    As a Sci-fi filmaker and nerd/devotee, my studious love for Villeneuve and his contribution to the genre is almost endless. There were many moments when watching Dune 2 that I felt elated, the cinematic swirl immersing me in the poetic escapism that I live for. Villeneuve and his creative teams, including actors, are meticulous in how they build this immersion. How often can you go to the cinema and feel, “I haven’t seen this before.”

    Make sure you have privacy to ugly cry when you see this film. It’s a beautifully acted, poingnant story that feels masterfully simple yet so layered in that messy human way. A tonal consistancy all the way through, it carried my suspension of disbelief till the heart twisting end.
