This is not either the worst superhero film ever made, or the worst Marvel film of all time, or among the worst cinema has seen. We do need standards for distinguishing atrocious experiences from the darkest depths of the cinema underworld.
However, this is the worst MCU film so far and a strong-fisted confirmation that Waititi likes orgies. It is not the first time they are mentioned, but the twisted monopolistic mouse finds them funny and family-friendly.
Also, the fact that this plays like an entire album of Guns N’ Roses and misses the huge opportunity of playing KISS’ God of Thunder despite the freaking film's title is axiomatically stupefying.
The saving grace of this film is not even contained in the film itself: it is present in Christian Bale’s perfect mixture of “I have absolutely zero idea / I couldn’t care less in the world” reaction to the question: “Why do you think the character Thor resonates so much with audiences around the world?”. If you haven’t seen it, you are definitely from another planet.
