Lieberman is indeed an unknown name even among specific horror circles, and without any previous experience from me, this seems to be his most experimental concept-wise. Starring Zalman King, a very good director notorious for always directing morally acceptable family movies and series, owner of the creepiest pervert stare in cinema, carries the film on his shoulders and collapses as the woeful miscast he is. As ineptly as the screenplay might be, disguising social commentary against drug trafficking and politicians hiding their past under the rug for the benefit of political campaigns is a very astute concept. It is entertaining most of the times, and despite a rushed conclusion, the scene with the mother, the pills and her children is superb thriller craft.
