A war drama film with Saoirse Ronan, what else do you need?
]]>“𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘶𝘱, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩’𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵”
Cobby’s dialogue felt like it was written for the film’s story itself—a laugh is all you’ve got when the plot fumbles this hard
]]>I initially thought Longlegs had the best framing shots, but I was completely wrong. This film has some of the most stunning and beautiful visuals, like that particular wide long shot of Cardinals gathering in the Chapel during the election process. I loved the scene where Lawrence breaks down is so raw, w/ no background sound just pure sobbing.
]]>idc about the film’s plot, it delivered a banger album and that’s all I care about.
]]>I have mixed feelings about this one. As the final chapter of Craig’s remarkable run, the plot felt a bit stretched from the beginning. There could’ve been a better way to conclude Bond’s journey. That said, Daniel has set the franchise’s bar at an exceptionally high level.
]]>Léa Seydoux, you’re such an absolute diva! The car chase scene w/ those two beautiful machines is a sight to witness.
]]>Throughout the film, I kept wondering why the colors were so beautifully executed and the score so captivating. Then, as the end credits rolled, two GOATED names perfectly justified my thoughts: Roger Deakins and Thomas Newman🛐
]]>Born to be a good sequel, forced to be a 106 minutes of midfest.
]]>This was my first experience with a Bond film, and as an introduction to Craig’s Bond franchise, it delivered quite well. This film’s opening credits are so beautiful and have that aesthetically pleasing feel to them. omw to watch the rest of them!!!
]]>Three stars solely for Heath's narration. Dan’s take on anxiety as a full-time job was a perspective that had never crossed my mind before. But that poster? It completely baited me, and I’m at a loss for words. A huge "𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶" to whoever designed that poster so brilliantly.
]]>I just watched this beautiful film, and bringing Andrew and Florence together was such a phenomenal idea. The wholesome aspect of the film is truly PEAK. The film’s core message, which struck me the most, is "It's okay to not be okay." while it might sound cliché, it carries a profound meaning that stayed with me.
]]>An avg. horror film that has its moments here and there, feat. Hunter Schafer drenched in blood stealing the show as she slays throughout the film w/ her butterfly knife.
]]>When Zeena explained to Stan that the second card symbolized "downfall", she was also hinting at the film's downfall after the second half.
]]>my genuine reaction after seeing this: "It was perfect. Perfect. Down to the last-minute detail."
]]>𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘴: This splendid artistic masterpiece just received a 30-minute standing ovation from me in my bedroom.
]]>The plot felt underwhelming, but credit is due to film’s OST and Tom Hardy for his impressive range of acting, which made the film watchable.
]]>Within the first 10 minutes, I knew this film would secure a spot in my Letterboxd top 4. It hit me deeply, just like Grave of the Fireflies did back then. It’s one of those works of art that leaves a lasting impression on your heart.
]]>“Don’t cry, it’s just a movie.”
The movie in question:
(i didn’t stand a chance against those slow-mos <\3)
I loved it. I’ve never rooted this hard for someone as I did for Amrit!!! Each and every single frame where those fuckers looked like they had just seen their worst nightmare, totally shell-shocked, haunted by the chaos Amrit brought was pure gold to watch. Can’t even put into words how insanely satisfying it was.
]]>The sole reason I watched this film was cuz of Willa ‘the cute’ Fitzgerald. I sort of liked her character in Reacher, but this one was such a letdown. The subtle foreshadowing of the plot was a bit nice, though. In that particular scene, the gunshot felt so Van Gogh coded (iykyk).Last but not least, whoever thought of writing ‘shot entirely on 35mm’ is like that one person at house parties who always manages to get on everyone’s nerves.
]]>Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav cooked up a 10/10 classic banger.
]]>This is 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚞𝚋𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎… but for the guys.
]]>The film’s cinematography and score were so good, I started weeping. This type of storytelling gets me every single time. ngl, the real MVP was the grandma from the moment she stepped into the house.
]]>Jaq is the perfect example of what having a “fuck it, we ball” personality does to a mf
]]>crime and punishment 𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙀𝘿🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
That particular scene where Mrs. Wilson was taking things off the chest—the framing of that shot is so Hitchcock-coded.The only downside for me was the film’s predictability, which hit as soon as Rupert asked that one question.
]]>This one’s a fucking grand slam. brb!! off to find a 6th star, because 5 stars don’t do justice to Luca’s art🛐
]]>𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙐𝘼𝙇 𝙁𝙐𝘾𝙆!
]]>This is one of those films that makes you feel and realize the importance of having privilege and how much our lives revolve around it.
]]>imagine bagging a baddie so fine, only for her to friendzone you right there in the church.
]]>This is one of my comfort films♡. It always feels like that favourite song from your playlist that you choose, regardless of your mood and play on loop.
]]>excessive yapping can have deadly consequences, and Mitsy learned that the hard way.😭😭
]]>can't let the gang know
I secretly fw wholesome feel good animated films
(sobbing rn)
Oh man! Literal goosebumps!
This is what real horror feels like!! Much like a coin with two sides, The Wall presents its own duality: on one side lies the unspeakable horror, while on the other, a disturbing sense of normalcy and comfort.
This one takes 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 to a different level entirely. Watching oldies having it (in that particular scene) is way grosser than watching The Substance while eating something.
]]>My dumbass thought I should eat something before I put on this wholesome masterpiece.
]]>istg, this is hands down the best Transformers movie in every aspect among all the Transformers films we’ve had so far.
]]>First of all, the cinematography is exceptional. As someone who appreciates framing, this film was incredibly satisfying to watch. I wish I had seen this in theaters.
]]>𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
]]>idkw, but it felt more like a filler episode than a sequel.
]]>The film was truly aesthetically pleasing, and the sound effects were insanely good. Children can be quite an asshole in general, and this film portrayed that perfectly. Speaking of John Krasinski’s remarkable transition from actor to a skilled director, it’s something that should be studied. On my way to watch the second part…
]]>Watched on Sunday August 25, 2024.
]]>Poor Vicky got completely cockblocked by a ghost😭😭
Shraddha with that RGB choti, goes hard!
𝐑𝐮𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐲𝐚: 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐤𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦 𝐤𝐲𝐚 𝐣𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧?
𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚: 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐤𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐢.
It’s so rare to find a good Bollywood comedy film like this these days.
]]>imagine dropping Agent Vinod and Andhadhun in the same decade.
]]>Rohit Shetty might be able to direct Goodfellas, but Scorsese could never pull off Singham Again🛐
]]>This film is filled w/ unapologetically absurd and goofiest moments.
“𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙜𝙤 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙.”
Ben Stiller, the director that you are, thank you for making this masterpiece😭😭
]]>This movie should be the si unit of “feel-good movies.”
Dwayne :”𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭.”✨🤌🏼
]]>whoever made the Brad and Clooney reunion happen deserves a standing ovation, without a doubt. That last scene with just the two of us? Chef’s *kiss*. Ocean's 11 energy is everywhere, and I couldn’t be happier😭
]]>Deepak Dobriyal and Vikrant Massey in the same frame is a sight to witness
]]>Gore at its best, with a stellar cast. For a moment, I thought my man Giancarlo was channeling Gus Fring’s aura again. 20:55... ouch bhenchod!! I suddenly crossed my legs out of pure survival instinct. Not perfect, but a fun A24 thriller.
]]>hearing Shah and Amitabh Bachchan on Yash Chopra feels like cinema’s way of saying everything’s going to be okay💌
]]>
