Honestly was expecting to not like this much because to be honest films about loving films/cinema are feeling super overplayed this year. Plus Steven Spielberg it’s s very hit or miss to me lately with his films so I wasn’t as excited. Plus the trailers didn’t sell me either.
I’m so glad I was wrong about this and this is very easily one of the best films to come out this year. There were a few moments that cinematically impressed me and had my jaw dropped by how well done they were. What’s super refreshing is there are a few big dramatic scenes that are big but there no dialogue being said to which it felt powerful. Also was surprised by the lack of score with some scenes which I wasn’t expecting at all.
Legit, this is cinema and one of the best films of the year. I was in love. The beauty of cinema.
