GIVE PAUL MESCAL HIS OSCAR NOW.
The performances from Paul, Denzel, Pedro, Connie, Joe, Fred…. every single person who was in the cast, including the extras BROUGHT IT. The visuals, the sets, the costumes were phenomenal. I understand some of the negative reviews, because I can see little issues within the writing. While watching I found myself teary eyed feeling happy/proud of Paul’s performance, from watching NP in 2020 and following his career, he really showed his talent and dedication on a whole different level and I walked out inspired. I can also say Ridley Scott made me leave that theater feeling inspired. This movie was magic to see and for all of us who want to write, direct, act, and be apart of films, this was one that reminded me why I love films.
My absolute favorite shot is the black and white scenes of his liminal states. I thoughts those were absolutely stunning. For me, I thought this movie was everything I’d hoped it’d be and more.
