set up was very confusing but it won me over by the end ! except the polar plunge bc why would u wanna go back into the freezing cold water after almost losing your child to the freezing cold water

fave character was the fake-out ms trunchbull who actually turns out to be miss honey and i wanna give her a hug, actually (haha! see what i did there? ok bye)

was so tense through the entire film my entire body and soul were exhausted by the end, but like in a good way

really disliked the first half of the movie… especially the parts where they are running around with their friends? like, are they in their twenties or in their teens? wasn’t quite giving the whirlwind romance i think they were going for imo

goons were great, except for in the house scene. i like the old guy, don’t remember his name tho

also cringe af dialogue during what i’m pre sure was supposed to be the emotional core of the movie…

stressful. funnier than expected - especially the knife scene omfg

well… i didn’t fall asleep during this one at least. (but who knows if this would’ve been the case if we didn’t watch it in two sittings :p)

i just don’t understand why we are immediately believing the five year old saying he’s totally the bestest pilot in the world ever

this was everything. it had everything. dog-like cat-like dragons, romantic song and dance number, INCREDIBLE SOUNDTRACK. i cried. loved it rawr 

side note: can’t believe i’ve never watched these movies before, they are everything i love in a story

suuuuch a fun romp, i loved it. was having a pretty bad day but this sure lightened my mood. all the plot twists def started getting a bit ridiculous near the end, but the fights were so creative and also sam rockwell 🥰

let’s just say i’m glad this film and ptk’s pok were not confluent in time…

too scary 4 me but i did half-heartedly guess the plot twist from the first scene while also thinking the daughter was the past girl for the first twenty minutes and that was silly of me

i don’t like horror movies to begin with so i might be being generous to compensate but it wasn’t bad - scary as expected, and the little girl was too annoying but it was fun to see with the boyf :)

second half pre good but then i fell asleep <3

sexy sexy ben schwartz movie with less pleasant knock off zooey deschanel (like molly was not shown doing a single nice thing for sam the entire film?? like like like she’s complaining that he’s never romantic and doesn’t do anything for her, even for their anniversary, but what did SHE plan for their anniversary?? NOTHING!!!!!) sam not perfect (the dead line being exhibit a*), but he was more realistic in his perspective imo

anyways, back to the point. ben schwartz: so sexy, 10/10 would rewatch three times this week just for him <3 

(our birthdays are only three days (and twenty something years-) apart so we are soulmates btw jsyk)

tldr: 5 stars for ben schwartz, but 2.5 for molly (and prob 2.5 for sam too if i’m being honest with myself) :/

one star off for too violent, especially for a sleepytime movie (is that our bad? maybe, but i’m blaming james gunn.)

characters were a bit annoying when being introduced, but quickly grew on me; only other complaint rly is that i thought the movie was over 40 minutes before it actually was, and could not believe there was going to be another twist

shrek had a very large barrier in my mind to breach but it very easily surpassed it. first few minutes of ogre-things were yucky but i liked everything else :)

first half was not bad, maybe even first two thirds. but the fucking ewoks and those motorcycles ruined everything else. it was racist as hell, and then the bikes were just TOO long and boring.

this movie made me cry four times: in happiness, in sadness, and everything in between. i’m not joking. i love paul rudd, plz notice me mr rudd.

i hated it. every single second - the characters, the plot, the music even. how are you going to make a musical film with shit-ass music. no. 

there was no chemistry between the two main characters (i don’t even remember their names but i know they were both assholes) and i was given no reason to root for them. like, i get that your boyfriend is a bore, but just end it. don’t cheat on him in the middle of a date tf? 

also the music was boring and bad. and did i mention that it was bad? also also jazz is not that intellectual - it is still just music, no need to be fucking elitist (said as someone who has been in an jazz band). also also also, why is it a white man that’s trying to save jazz? while he is also ignoring at best, or actively erasing at worst, its roots in african-american musical tradition. i mean, man, just shut the hell up. 

anyways, save your ears and yourself some time and dont watch this. goodbye <3
