To echo every complaint about this movie, the ending is ridiculous and mars what was up until that point a surprisingly well-acted and written drama about faith. But by going full horror in the last 5 minutes, even though it was slightly foreshadowed, it destroys the realistic world-building the film had done for 90% of its run time. Especially annoying is that there's a perfect point to end the movie literally five minutes before the credits roll.
